Course Layout
In the fashion of all great private clubs, Encanterra is what is called a "core" design, meaning that a majority of the course wraps in upon itself, unencumbered by houses or other distractions. This style of design has fallen out of favor in the recent years not because of its contribution to the golf experience, but rather its contribution to lot premiums by developers. Less homesites on the course means less lot premiums. Well at Encanterra, we believe that golf is for golf, pure and simple.
Other elements reminiscent of the traditionally great private clubs include large, undulatiing green surfaces complemented by challenging bunkers and chipping areas, open spaces off the tee that put driver in the player's hand on numerous occasions, and of course, varying hole lengths that ensure you use every club in the bag.
